A custom wooden door not only makes a statement on the exterior of your home, but also adds extra warmth and beauty to the interior of your home. New Erra Doors specializes in creating a custom wooden door that can be designed to your specifications. To ensure a long life of your door against the elements of wind, moisture, and temperature, we recommend that you have 2-feet of porch overhang for every 1-foot of door height if your door will face east or west. If your door is facing north or south, we recommend 1 foot of porch overhang for every 1 foot of door height. If you do not have this available please consider one of our custom wrought iron entry units to fit your needs or we recommend using a wood door with large sections of glass rather than full wood panels. New Erra Doors can also integrate glass, wrought iron, sidelights and transoms to your custom wooden door. These elements can give a completely different look and feel for your custom wood door. You can design the wrought iron inserts for your wooden door or choose from any of our offerings. We offer various colors and finishes for the wood. The ironwork is a hinged single piece unit that swings open for easy cleaning. We offer a variety of decorative glass styles and colors, including leaded glass inserts than can be impact rated. Each piece is custom built for the unit it is going into and glazed at our facility prior to being shipped. If a solid wood door is your preference, we have a variety of styles and colors to offer you. Our goal is to bring YOUR ideas to life. So create your front entry system and we will build it for you!

We also specialize in courtyard gates and wine cellar doors. While every home may not require such unique items, you can have the confidence that we will supply you with a door or gate that meets the design and artistic feel of your home. We carefully measure the area that these specialty items will fit into and assure the perfect fit from start to finish. Our wine cellar doors come with kerfed rabbeted jambs and an adjustable drop down threshold. We offer insulated glass if you would like to use glass with or without a decorative iron insert.
