Full light doors give your home an elegant and airy appearance. The added light to your front interior entry foyer improves the look and the feel of that area. We can provide standard or impact rated glass for your front door. This impact rated glass can withstand wind speed up to 150 miles per hour and large air born objects. This also adds an extra layer of security to your home. Each piece of glass on our full light doors is custom built for your unit and installed at our facility before being shipped. If New Erra Doors is installing your unit, the glass is installed on the job site by one of our skilled staff. This helps to insure that proper glazing techniques and materials are used. New Erra Doors can also offer you etched glasswork or gray, brown, or bronze tinted glass. You can also choose from various patterned glass. You may choose to design wrought iron grillwork to place over your full light door glass. We offer a variety of colors for your iron to encourage your "personalized touch". Each piece of iron is handcrafted by our experienced and skilled artisans. We give you a computer activated drawing (CAD) of your door to bring the ideas in your mind to tangible results on paper. Each piece of ironwork is a single hinged unit that can be opened for cleaning.

Many front entryways also have transoms above the door. Transoms are the glass area above the door. We can repeat the design of ironwork or pattern of glass on this area as well. You can also choose to leave the transom plain and still have the open, airy feeling to your entry hall. The main focus of New Erra Doors is to help make your vision of your front entryway, both interior and exterior, a reality.

When considering the wooden part of your exterior door you may select South American mahogany or Spanish cedar. The Forestry Stewardship Council regulates the forest where our lumber is grown and harvested. New Erra Doors staff can assist you in choosing the best wood and stain color to enhance the glass design you have chosen. We sand and hand rub the stain into the wood giving it a natural look as opposed to a factory finish. We then seal the door with three coats of polyurethane, hand sanding between each coat. New Erra Doors is able to work with interior designers that you have chosen. Our technical knowledge and skilled workmanship will compliment the design scheme of your home.

New Erra Doors are sold as a full package. This includes stain grade quality jambs, moldings, and thresholds. We use only the finest ball bearing 5 x 5" hinges.
